About Us
We are an
archery club in the South-Vienne under the 1901
Association Rules. Our founder members are all
experienced Archers who have competed all over France
with great success in the last 3-4 years.
We
currently take part in, and train for, the following
disciplines: Tir Nature, Tir 3D, Tir en Salle, Outdoor
target Archery, and we hope to incorporate Tir Campagne
in the next year. We have our own wood for the 3D,
outdoor target and Nature disciplines. This is close to
and easily accessible from around the South Vienne.
We
are situated in Charroux, which is a village and commune
in the Vienne department of western France. It is the
primary town of the canton of Charroux. The remains of
the Benedictine Charroux Abbey, founded in the 8th
century, are preserved in the town.
According
to legend the brain of Richard the Lionheart is buried
in the base of the tower.
