Archery: develop your talents on a 20 target field archery course in private woodland. Beginners – both adults and children can learn under the instruction of F.F.T.A. licensed archers. If you want a taste of what archery is like then come to one of our Have-A-Go Sessions. There are several different types of archery, so you can pick the one which appeals to you the most.

Target Archery is where you shoot at the target of coloured rings, while Field Archery is where different targets are placed around a wood or a field and you shoot at them as you come to them. There's no rush and you have plenty of time to aim. You may have to avoid tree branches and bushes to hit the target and you may have to shoot up and down hill, but whichever way your arrows fly you'll have a great time.

After a safety briefing, you'll be armed with a bow and under the watchful eye of an F.F.T.A. licensed archer you'll be taught how to fire your bow. If you've got good hand-eye coordination you'll hopefully be able to nail a few targets.

Archery is suitable for young and old, for the supremely fit and those less so. Archery is a good source of exercise.

We teach children accompanied by a responsible adult* - the only requirement is that the child is able to concentrate for an hour. Courses provide you with the use of all necessary equipment and insurance.

* Under 18s must have an adult with them during their sessions - they cannot be dropped off and collect afterwards.
